Travel to Naples, Italy

Naples is located in the Campania region in South Italy, about a 2 hours drive from Rome, Italy. Naples sits nicely on the north edge of the Bay of Naples - the Bay of Naples is known as one of the most gorgeous bays in Italy. The harbor of Naples is one of the most important ports in South Italy.

Traveling around Naples is convenient by train - Naples is one of the main transportation hubs in South Italy, accommodating a couple major train lines.

You’ll find the train as well as bus stations in Piazza Garibaldi, on the east end of Naples. Naples also has an airport, Aero Porto Capodichino, with flights that constantly come in from other parts of Italy, Europe, and the world.

If you have your heart set on traveling to one of the islands, ferries run from Naples’s Molo Beverello to the quaint islands of Capri, Procida, Ischia, as well as Sardinia.

Unfortunately Naples has some congestive traffic problems, so you’ll enjoy walking around Naples rather than taking a car.

Naples also has a big but sometimes crowded bus network, subway, and train line. These will get you to where you want to go, as well as Herculaneum, Pompeii, and Sorrento.
